Default Repeating code

I have received a code concerning a loose gas cap twice in the last three months. The cap does not appear to be loose when the code appears. Is this an underlying different issue? LS-430 '03

I had 440, 441 and 446 codes pop up twice within two week period. Cleared them and for 3 months all is good knock on wood.

Not sure. I cleared the code and it's been Ok since. The cap says to tighten until it clicks. I usually click it three times, wondering if that could be the issue?
