For the first time ever I saw a 04-06 LS with a taillight out!! It was weird though, it was a whole quarter section of the rear taillight. It looks like there's only 1 LED per quarter of the rear taillamp assembly. Is that right? I thought there were a ton of LEDs but I guess not.

 

There are several diodes, its just that one circuit must control a cluster of LED, so when that circuit breaks, a bunch go out. I havent seen any blown yet so cant compare experiences.

 

I too have an 05 LS430 and I have noticed on a few occasions that my right side inner tail light will flicker and look dim. I noticed that there aren't many posts on R/R. I am sure that there has to be a fix to this and not a total replacement.

 

I had the smaller, inner part go out. I just replaced it and took home the broken one. Maybe one day as a project I will retrofit some LED in it if I have time. As for repairing it, it's not that expensive to buy a new one.

 

any update on this? have same issue with inners.. anyone make some aftermarket LED's for our car?
