Default used car values

I'm still thinking about trading my 2002 ls430 for a 2007 ls460. In doing my research on $$$$, there seems to be a substantial difference between for example Kelly, NADA and Edmunds. Is either of the valuations more respected or considerd more accurate? Would be interested in your recommendations in negotiating and which of the valuation services you have used.

Thanks,
Harry

I think the question is what is a certain year and model worth with how ever many miles. Often someone will chime in with auction pricing if you can get into a certain range. Auction is what they are really worth then whatever markup they can get away with.

Go on autotrader or cars.com and look at how similar yr/mi/condition/optioned cars were priced and price yours accordingly. I usually place mine just below what the dealer sells for and emphasize that the vehicle was very well cared for. GLWS

Agree - go on autotrader and search for all 2007 ls460s for sale across USA. Go thru each listing and repeat on a weekly basis and you will get a feel for asking prices based on mileage, options, and condition for that model and tear LS460. Approximate sales prices to be about 3-8% less on average than asking depending on the market and seller type.

Auction prices are ~$25k for a 2007 LS460 w/Nav,ML with 100k+ miles.
For a less mileage add another $1-3k. Low mile examples are $30-35k depending on condition, wheelbase and options.
