Interior Air pressure flaps???
Does anyone know if our cars have some sort of interior pressure flap that relieves air pressure inside the car? The reason i ask is because if i were to stand outside of the car, with all other doors already closed, then shut the last door, i hear what sounds like flap that has been opened then closed by the pressure of the last closing door. The sound comes from near where the gas filler door is on both sides. If i attempt to listen for this sound with any other door or window open, i hear nothing. I do hear it on both sides of the car everytime. If so, then its no problem but if not then houston, we have a problem. Am i crazy or do any of you guys hear the same thing?
Yes, there are 2 flaps; from the inside you see them, low in the rear qtr panels, when you remove the small flat trunk floor panels covering the Nav DVD area and the same panel on drivers side. Haven't looked underneath to see where they exit.
