My mom saw a black 90's Benz once and thought it was my black LS. I always thought the LS had that gangster 90's Benz look to it.

Those same people probably can't tell a right fist from a left fist.
The LS430 doesn't look like a Ford Five Hundred. The Five Hundred looks like an LS430. It came out in 2005, and like several other vehicles obviously stole styling cues from the Lexus. Certain Nissans as well as the current GMC Yukon frontal styling are reminiscent of the LS430. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
By the way Ford boss Alan Mullaly was driving an LS430 when Ford hired him away from Boeing. He even remarked in one interview that the LS430 was the finest car in the world.
If you can't beat 'em, copy 'em.

Yeah, it is. That particular part has a hole & doesn't open...not useful in any way....so there is a Lexus emblem on it. Is that unusual?

When people say that, just tell them that it is indeed the latest Mercedes model LS430 and that, unlike previous models, it does not need to be taken to the dealer every month for repair.

So why don't I have one of these? Did someone rip it out of my dashboard or do some models just not have it?

Or better yet, the person obviously can't tell anyway so say it's a Bentley 430 Luxury Supreme.
