Default Headlight oxidation quetion

Hey everyone I have an 05 ls430. I have a quick question. One of my headlights is crystal clear. The other is clear however it has a slight yellow/green tint slowly forming. I head that if I try applying something like plastx the factory uv coating for the head light will disappear and I will constantly have to keep on buffing out the oxidation as time goes on. Should I just leave that headlight alone for now? I am kind of **** and it is itching me knowing the two headlights arent crystal clear. Thanks

most likely the one that is clear has been changed out at one point.keep applying the plastx and wax to both headlights.
using these products will not cause or make anything worse.

Assuming that the discoloration is on the exterior of the lens, does it happen to be the curb side lens that is most discolored? The right/curb side headlight lens on my 00 LS seems to deteriorate at a faster rate that the left one. Finding shopping carts resting against my headlights hasn't done any good either.

I've adopted the practice of refinishing my headlight lenses every year or two in the fall so that I enter Winter with clear lenses.

Here are before and after photos from today's holiday 15 minute headlight restoration with a $20 Crystal View kit from Walmart. The "before" is at the top and the "after" at the bottom in each of the four photo sets.

you don't have to wetsand it. you can just use a buffer with a good polishing compound to make it clear again.
After that apply some wax and sealant

before

after

Thanks everyone for your reply. While I was detailing my car today (about 10 grueling hours) I put some polish and then some wax on the headlight. Looks like new. Its not yellow or serious enough to wetsand. I am just very **** about my car and the left headlight was not as clear as my right headlight. I was just scared I would lose the factory headlight clearcoat if I put something onto the headlight.
