2 quick questions, 1 headlight and 1 DRL
Okay well I've been reading this thread and drinking somee rum too but I believe u r talking about the little 194 (I think that's what they r if my memory is correct; rum) and they are inside the headlight housing, not the foglight housing. The fogs r down below the headlights r up top. The little corner bulbs in the headlights are only on when the headlights r turned on. They r very low powered but I replaced mine with bight blue ones and they add a little tint of blue to the stock amazing headlights. Does this help at all??? Rum...
PIAA makes a fantastic 168 that I put in my GX, love it. Adds just a tiny bit more super white/blue but really adds to the overall look, especially compared to the poopie brown thats in there now. I may just yank the one out of my GX and see if it fits the LS, and if so, order the same ones again.
Thanks for hangin with me Sojah, much appreciated friend.

So in case anyone else is as OOCD as I am, I just wanted to close the loop so hopefully this may help someone else out someday. The tiny bulb Sojah and I were discussing is a 168, just like on my GX470. This is what I am ordering:
. They look awesome on the GX.
So angry/frustrated/pissed!!!
My 9005 Ultrawhite Philips bulbs came today for my DRL/Highs on the LS. I have used these bulbs for at least 3 other things from fogs to headlights in projectors and theyre generally excellent bulbs ID recommend again and again. Well in the LS as DRLs, they barely are any whiter than the poop brown the OEM bulbs are.
And I am willing to bet that if you did not know I had upgraded the bulbs, you wouldnt know it at all. As highs theyre a little whiter, but not a big deal, but as DRL's, total waste of time and $$. And as some of you likely already know, those suckers are NOT easy to get to, remove or replace.
So angry right now!

if its the doohickey i'm thinking of that a few of us on here got (myself included) then you technically loose any extra light output from the high beams when you put in the led bulbs. i mean i can still flick/flash them on and off but only like 1% extra usable light seems to come out, courtesy of the led bulb design. however, your drl's will look super bright even during the day with a nice led glow.
i had some super duper heavy duty piaa bulbs in my old GS400 and when i upgraded to these hid bulbs in my current LS430 they are a little brighter.

anyone here has put hid on the drl? i did but it flickers and i bought 2 these http://www.v-leds.com/Daytime-Runnin...-p6297704.html thinking it will resolve the flickering but no luck. only way hid works if i put my high beams.
