Please tell me you're kidding. Who lets a 'look' from some jackwad bother them? Be secure in yourself.

Just to be fair has anyone driven the new redesigned in 2011 300 with 8 speed tranny and paddle shifters? I think it is known all the US makers are building better cars. You may be able to compare price wise a low mileage 06 to a new 300, not sure of price of the 300 but I bet 36-40?

We are smart with our money. That's what those in the know would have first come to mind when they see a 430 owner. Most people I happen to see in the 300, at least here in NY, seem to be shady uneducated people who have no sense of class and I hate to say it, but plain out thuggish. Actually, I've never seen a single respectable looking person driving a 300..I know that people ruin cars of all kinds with bling bling, but with the 300, it seems to almost be a prerequisite! You come up with your own conclusions.. Anyway, Don't be a pansy! With all due respect of course

That person you see on in the next lane driving a brand new $80k BMW, MB, or LS460L with 20 inch chrome wheels may be:
1. A self made brain surgeon who worked their way thru school
2. A rich trust fund baby whose major accomplishment in life was coming out of the right vagina
3. A sleazy crooked business person that is embezzling his company's funds
4. A stressed out poser that has 18 credit cards maxed out with bill collectors calling him 12 times a day.
5. A hard working small business owner who loves great cars
6. insert next 100 positive, negative, or neutral variations here...
In short its silly to assume anything about a person you see driving a "nice" car.
None of it matters or amounts to a hill of beans. Like a previous poster stated - be secure in yourself and don't make the easy mistake of associating anyone's worth or value to the world based on the "stuff" they appear to possess.
Rant off.

Seriously! I would expect an LS 430 owner to be a cut above the rest in their confidence. Not give a crap about a look from anyone, especially from some wannabe in a 300.

Dude, where am from, people stop me to ask if I want to sell my LS430. Whoever owns it just doesnt sell it.
This is why we love importing them from America and they get sold very quickly.
On the other hand, American cars here are very cheap and have a very bad reputation. We see more American cars on recovery trucks than we see any other cars.
Lexus is on a class of its own. I feel like am the president driving in one. We wave to each other (LS430 drivers) as a sign of respect and appreciation. Its like having the LS430 club jacket. Be Confident, you are a member of this family!
Fatony.

Definitely the Lex but the 300 seems to be designed after the Mercedes 420 SEL from the 1986 - 1990 era. Here's my 87 420 that is now my run around car. Look at the body styling. The 300 doors are higher with smaller windows. Later!
