Can the repairs be accomplished without "reporting" the damage? I had a dent/ding repairman say that his repairs won't show up on carfax reports, whereas all body shop repairs will be reported.

i think they are having it repaired under the table buy a cheap repair shop.i would call and find out the dealers insurance company.then take it to a shop of you choice.you should call your insurance company if you have problems with the dealer.

Have YOU seen the damage from the "crash" ... ???

=Joe Z Have you seen the damage..???

At this point they shouldn't be asking you for ANY MONEY what so ever...!!!!!

It's like "adding insult to injury"

To Leelos, please take my advice and listen to what these guys are saying. Then ACT ON IT. I guarantee you will regret it down the road if you do not do something and do it now. But remember, the one concept that resonates throughout all of the previous wisdom is ALWAYS ACT LIKE A GENTLEMAN.

Update,

I talked to the service manager at lexus....He told me that the car should be ready today, and that the damage to my car was just the bumper cover, so they replaced it.....Also said they will cover the cost of the part $425.00 and I will pay the labor $130.00......I have been driving a loaner HS250 for almost 2 weeks.....man I miss my LS430!

I'm surprised that they still made you pay the labor fees even though they wrecked your car and took a long time to give the car back.

Glad its getting resolved. In terms of their offer I guess that's better than asking you to pay for the part and they comp labor. My guess is that they may be getting the part "at a discount" somehow.

Default and it continues

Oh Boy------So I get my LS430 back last week....and I noticed that the car seems to be sitting a little lower than normal....But I thought maybe since I havent seen the car in 2 weeks etc..... So when I get home I push the button to put the car in (HIGH) position.......When the car is in High position it has a terrible lean, so bad that my wife sitting in the passenger seat says she feels like she is sitting on a slant.....I get out of the car and notice that the rear passenger wheel doesnt adjust when changing the height settings.... Long story short I took the car back to Lexus, the Tech who replaced the rear hieght sensor comes to look at the car and he says, well all the LS430 UL have a little bit of a lean.....I show him that the rear wheel is not adjusting.....

ugh....thought when I took the car to Lexus I was doing the right thing, but I am starting to second guess myself now

What?!?! You should not be paying ONE CENT for their mistake! Quite the opposite, I'd expect some kind of (reasonable) compensation for the damage they did. And now they can't even fix your suspension?

You need to hold these guys accountable.

I would not take their word that the crash damage "was just the bumper cover". I would take the car to an independent body shop that specializes in Lexus and ask them to inspect the bumper cover damage to make sure that there is no additional hidden damage. I would also call the Lexus regional rep and complain about the whole thing and tell them to fix it.

Default Pissing me Off now

Got my LS430 back yesterday, lexus replaced left front and rear height sensors......Lexus pulls car up front and I swear it looks like its sitting lower than normal. I put the car in High Postion and as I am sitting in the drivers seat I swear the passenger seat looks slanted.....I get out and realize that the car seems slanted to the passenger side.......Tech says all UL have this problem......Now it didnt have this probelm when I took it there......But I have seen some people on this forum have the same problem.....anyway to fix this?
