I was changing the engine air filter on my '06 ls430 and when I dropped the paper filter into it's compartment, I noticed that the top part of the box that gets clamped down also had what appeared to be a filter. It was made of a clear plastic mesh with some sort material behind it. I can't find it in the owners manual or online. Does it need to be changed? It didn't look very clean to me. Thanks.
