The beatsonic kit seems super expensive for what it is -I know its likely a very low volume item so costs to build per unit are very high. And they can get a higher profit margin when there is basically no competition.

Sorry to thread jack, but I am considering the addition of a new Double Din head unit in a 2001 ls430 (no nav/no ml). While i realize the best option is the beat sonic kit (sla-23a), I have been reading that it distorts the audio?

The distortion seems to be reported with the ML equipped ls430s, is this also a problem for the non-ml ls430s? If my main goal is the addition of 2-10's in the trunk, should I just ghetto it and tap the lines from the speakers?
