When I get an alignment I get a printout that shows the 1) factory specs, 2) where my car was before the alignment and 3) where it is after the alignment was performed. Very satisfying.

Stu the options seem endless and redundent and none of the techs seem to think it has a problem or are telling you the truth. You said it yourself kinda treat it like a bicycle and peddle it!

You know them thingies, the thick metal rods running from wheel to wheel in front and rear ? These are called stabiliser bars. They link to control arms, yes you guessed it, with stabiliser links, and mount to the frame by stabiliser bar bushings. Two for each bar...

I went ahead and replaced the steering rack bushings ( the old ones looked new ) and got a third 4 wheel allignment. The tech put in a little extra toe in the front wheels to try to help the car track better when driving straight .... it made a big difference driving in the city, but unfortunately on the highway it still requires a lot of steering input to drive straight. There is no vibration at any speed, it does not pull left or right, it just feels like its floating rather than "on rails " Tire pressures adjustments don't make any difference and the car has new 245/45/18 Continental ExtremeContact DWSs

What's wrong ? This issue is preventing me from enjoying the car on the highway at any speed over 70 mph. I want to fix it, the car is otherwise perfect.

New tires ( again ? ) Please help. Thanks.
i agree with what they did here, however if you add a little more aggressive toe in the rear it will help with the wandering. rear toe sets the thrust angle of the car. id be interested to see what your current toe specs are front and rear.

glad you agree. The front toe adjustment made a very big improvement - to the point where the car is perfect in the city and up to 60 mph on the highway. I will take your advise and get the rear toe adjusted.

I had a print out given to me when it has the allignment that put more front toe in ... but for some reason I can't find it. I will make sure I keep and post the next one I get.

Thanks everyone .... I am almost there
