On my 04 ls, how do you program the interior dome lights to turn on when you open the front door. Lights do come on when I open the back doors for the back lights.

How do I get all the doors to open when I open with the rubber button or the smartkey?

 

There is a switch on the dome lights (look up, a bit forward of the sunroof). Turn the switch to 'door' and the front dome lights should work. Mine even turns on when my smartkey is close to the car.

I'm pretty sure anything smartkey will have to be programmed by the dealer. Mine unlocks all doors when I put my hand in the doorhandle. As for the rubber button (I'm assuming you mean the unlock button on the key fob?), that unlocks one door then all doors. All key fobs have worked that way in my past experience.

 

The attached is for an 01 LS430 but I don't think there were changes in the features that could be customized over the six model years. The unlock button can be programmed to unlock all four doors with one push of the button. Customizing the settings requires a hand held tester with the appropriate program card. Of course Lexus dealers have the equipment but some indie repair shops like the one I use can also customize features..

 

is there a program to press on the key that the windows and sunroof will all open fully? anyone done this?
after reading the pdf file. it looks like it can be done but didnt say about hte sunroof. thanks for the file.

 

Unless a previous owner had the feature deactivated, hold down the unlock button to open all the windows and sunroof.

 

You can also roll up the windows from outside by sticking the key inside the doorhandle and holding it in the lock position. I'm not sure if rolling them back up can also be done by remote.
