Satellite Radio addition query
Probably I am the only Lexus LS430 owner on the planet confused on this issue and so I apologize in advance if my question is redundant.
My LS430 is a 2006 with the ML Navigation and a SAT button on the radio. So the car is "Satellite radio ready" I assume. In reading up on the various options to integrate a SAT tuner, I have reviewed the products from Viastech, ISimple etc and understand that I need the interface, SAT tuner and antenna. I also reviewed how various people have installed these items and where they have located the interface and tuner.
However, I also came across some information which suggested that in the case of a SAT ready version of the LS 430 like the 2006, that it is possible to install the tuner in the trunk area rather than the dash area. What I am wondering then is whether the SAT ready versions already have the necessary interface electronics and that all I need is the SAT tuner?

for sirius radio you need the toysc1 kit. i got one off of ebay for like $50 that was used, new i think they are much more, and i got *** raped on the installation price although i've heard people say its not a too difficult diy i would rather leave this to the pros.
I posted a picture of the trunk location here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-05-ls430.html The job should be quite easy.
When i was taking about my dash to install my Ipod/AUX connection, i noticed a ViasTech unit in my car and it had ample room in there to fit the unit without issue, plus fitting my Ipod/AUX uint.
