Yes this part works great! They have a remote control that controls the unit and they also have these cool switches that can sense your finger through plastic. We have both hooked up. Could switch screens with remote control and use a sensor switch behind one of those button filler panels on the Beat Sonic face plate.

Super happy with replacing my factory ML system and Beat Sonic!

Looks hella good. I just put a SL2Vi in my car but am going to swap it out for the beatsonic kit in a couple of weeks I hope.

 

Nice setup bro, I have the same unit installed in my 430.

I couldn't imagine life without my Avic-Z2...having the ability to upload music to the hard-drive is a necessity for me since I'm always forgetting my iPod. I have like 70 or more albums saved already!

I'll post a picture of my setup tomorrow when I finally figure out how to upload them, lol!!

HiloDB1 and ViPCeo, what's the big difference between the SL2Vi and the Beatsonic kit? I use the Pioneer CD-IB100II iPod adapter which only allows me to directly control my music from my iPod on the Avic-Z2 touchscreen display. I had to add another input to show movies from my iPod but even then I can't use the touchscreen display to control the video coming from the iPod. Does the Beatsonic kit allow me to control both my iPod music and video from my Avic-Z2 touchscreen display?

Hey, i got the same ipod adapter and mines works fine with music and videos, i dont know if its something my boy did but i kno i didnt buy another mudule, i dont think Beat Sonic have anything for the z2 unit, also i can watch movies thru my oem screen frm my z2, or listen to music while the oem screen plays the movie, they got some really cool stuff, hope this helps......

 

Did you loose the rear console controls after installing your kit? Just curious if the rear volume controls work. I heard that you would loose all the radio functions from the rear console since the factory head unit is removed.

 

^^^Everything works except when u press my Mode button, when i press it once nuthing happens but if im watching dvd and press it 3timez it showz whateva im watching on aftermarket unit on the oem nav screen (harness and module for that feature was separate) rear controls work fine.....

I dnt kno i would have to look, i spoke directly with Eric frm BeatSonic, mostly over the phone, gl man they got some rele good stuff.....
