Default Car hit in my own driveway

So I took my car to the dealership last week to have them check out my air suspension. Everything was a-ok. They kept it over the weekend and I finally picked it up Monday evening. Car was fine and in immaculate condition when I picked it up. Drove the car straight home and parked in my driveway. Tuesday rolls around. I work from home so the car didn't move out of my driveway. I go to swing by a buddies house later that night and I come out to see this.

No note or anything, they just left me with a damaged bumper and broken taillight. GRRRRR Anybody have a spare outer left taillight I can pickup?

How someone can hit a car parked in a private driveway I will never understand.

Best of luck bringing her back to mint condition!

That sucks. I'm going to guess a drunk driver did this. There my sister's friend had her car totaled (it was parked outside by the driveway) by a drunk driver who was going around 60 mph in a neighborhood. Hard to believe how irresponsible and inconsiderate some ppl are

i don't think that bumper will ever be the same again. looks like you'll need to replace the whole thing (something i heard about plastics on bumpers) Have you considered an insurance claim. A bumper and tail light could easily exceed $1,000.

I know how it happens. Someone playing with the radio or texting veers off the road. Several years ago I was in my living room at about 6 in the morning having coffee when a VW Passat goes right through my front lawn, scrapes my mailbox then across the driveway and back onto the street. I live in a subdivision with a speed limit of 25 MPH. I was in disbelief and thought perhaps I had not fully awoken. But when I went outside, sure enough there were tire tracks through my lawn. He just barely missed my car which was parked in the driveway. I later found out it was a neighbor kid and he was fiddling with the radio. The mailbox put a very long and nasty crease down the drivers side so I think he learned his lesson.

Another good reason to have a surveillance camera with a 24 hr loopback pointed at your driveway.

ouch that really suck sorry to hear man. If you do go thru insurance claim it'll be over $1,000 for sure. You can go thru the claim take that money and add in more money to buy a body kit.

That was my immediate thought, too. Had to be someone backing up to turn around if it happened in your driveway.

Just on a chance you might find something, walk your neighborhood and look for white paint on either the front or back bumper of someone's car.

Sorry about the incident

Got an old G35 buddy that does bumper refinishing out here right now working his magic. Can't quite swing $4k for a full body kit yet, so I'll just have him fix this little issue. Will post pics in a couple hours after he's done.

Did you happen to get a pizza delivered while the car was parked in the driveway?

You must have a two car wife driveway. Probably someone making a "K"turn and just backed up too much and right into your bumper.

Stinks... but hopefully you can it off soon. Will it atleast temporarily buff out with "Scratch Remover" ?

Nope, it can't be buffed out. Paint was scratched/cracked, the bumper buckled slightly and changed shape. It'll be good as new soon...pics on their way.

No I didn't have any visitors that day. (cable, pizza, solictors, white speaker van, satellite, fund raising kids, lawn service, etc) I'm pretty much over trying to find who did it. I may stroll around my neighbors cars later tonight, but what's done is done.
