Creaking from rear trunk/suspension area
Whenever I go over a speed bump or even when taking off from a dead stop, I can hear a creaking coming from the rear/trunk area. If it were the front I would say it was definitely some kind of bushing. It is very annoying considering how quiet the car is. I am off to my trusted mechanic but I could always use some help from this forum. Any clues out there? Thanks all.

After spending some time at my mechanic, it seems as if the struts might be the cause for the creaking. It's an expensive investment if it turns out not to be the actual cause. At almost 100K it might be time for replacement. What kind of money should I be looking at for the 2 rear struts?

So Boca, what did this turn out to be? Inquiring minds wish to know...
The reason I ask is that my car just started giving me a slight creaking/chirping noise coming from the passenger rear area coincidentally right after I changed all of the brakes and rotors on all four wheels. Tonight I walked up to the corner of the car and simply pressed down on it and I could here the chirp, so it's likely coming from up in the strut area.
