Default Change ashtray to cell phone holder

I am looking to get rid of my cigarette lighter/ashtray and replace it with the felt pad/cell phone holder. I saw a post here months ago regarding this and was wondering where I can get one and if you already have one, are you happy? Do you have pics

Search for the topic and you'll find plenty on it, including pictures. Sewill was where most went to, including myself. Look to spend about $200+ and the modification is easy. I like it, because I don't smoke and find it much more functional.

Good luck.

I did the mod shortly after I got my car this spring and I like it. I haven't used the power port, yet. I keep a couple travel packs of Kleenix in there for my wife to access. That's the only convenient location she can reach.

Yep the mod is easy and very functional. The power port looks good and has a nice spring loaded cover when not in use. Only downside is the cost - think it was $180 or so from sewell online with the forum discount. You need to call them and give them your VIN so that they can tell you exact part number to order the right matching wood color. Take 15 minutes to install if you also take the time to clean and detail all the console parts while they are out.

You can also swap the lids, in case you think the new doesn't match as well. I changed mine as I thought it matched better and no reason not to.

We like ours. It's the only "mod" we've done, or plan to do. MUCH better than the ashtray! We keep keys and/or a cell phone in there.
