Default High adjustment

Anyone know why a 2006 LS430 rear end would fully extend and not return to normal? Anyone else have this issue?

if you had a bunch of weight in the back of a UL and the air susp raised all the way up then you turned the car off if would stay like this till the next time you started the car, then it would go back to normal. is this close to your situation?

Good thought. This doesn't help the OP, but I had about 3000 pounds of marble in my GX a couple of years ago. The air leveling worked and had the vehicle riding level on the road, but after I unloaded it the rear end was waaaay up in the air until I started the engine and allowed it to level itself.

The car does not relevel. This is the second time it occured. The first time was in the winter in bad snow and after two days I brought it into the dealer and they said that 4 modules needed to be replaced. The cost of each $2200.00 each. I refused and when they returned my car it was washed and the ride control was back to normal. This time it was nice out and I brought to dealer to get washed ... it came out normal again. FYI, I get the car washed at leaset once per week anyway.

What could make the ride lock in up position?

Unless they were talking about replacing all the air struts (which doesn't seem like the proper fix to me), I can't imagine what they were going to do that could cost $8800, even at outrageous prices. Were they willing to tell you what they did to re-level it? Seems that it's something rather simple, or else they'd charge you for it. Sorry I don't know what it is -- I don't have a UL and haven't looked into the details like this.

the height sensors things are sortof expensive i recall and i think this is what they were talking about replacing. i love how the dealerships don't really fix many things, they just replace them...
