Would Soundgate TOYPD2 work with 2005 LS 430 for IPOD integration?

Would Soundgate TOYPD2 work with 2005 LS 430 for IPOD integration?
I am getting mixed feedbacks. I need help. I called the VAISTECH guys and they told me that I need SL2i-UP. TOYPD2 is a clone of SL2i-UP. If this is the case, why would TOYPD2 not work with LS 430? Anyone?
