remote start with oem alarm
i was having lunch with a friend of mine and she let me drive her car. when i got out i went to press the lock button on her factory alarm and pressed it a few times just in case. well it turned on the car. she said it was dealer installed. was wondering if i can do the same with our oem units and if anybody's used it. i found this on google http://www.amazon.com/Dodge-REMOTE-E.../dp/B0027UT3HW . anybody have any experience with it?
also is there any way to boost the range of the factory remote? maybe replacing the battery?

They most likely have a module similar to that for the lexus. In regard to your question about the remote, try replacing the battery for starters, but don't be surprised if it doesn't help. Could be wrong in this case, but being that you have tint, it may be hindering your alarms reception, especially if it is metal. I think the range of my remote is just fine. much better than some aftermarket alarms I have had.
