Question Which has the most voice commands the 01-03 or 04-06 LS430.

I was just wondering how many more commands do you get with the 04-06 ls. I have an 02 ul im thinking of upgrading DVD NAV. What im tryin to say is can you command any address, or the climate temp in the 04-06 ls. In my 02 i can only activate preset destinations,radio/cd not temp or any address i want through voice command . On the ES models i think they can do it. 02-03 voice commands are limited. If its a big difference in commands is it possible to upgrade DVD UNIT IN TRUNK to get extra goodies. I hope i didnot confuse everyone.

Upgrading DVD will only update streets and POI's, but not add any features or graphics of the system. Having said that, im not sure if more voice commands were added for the 04-06 models.

Like Grand said, updating the DVD won't add commands. As for temp, yes, on my '04 I can change temp by command just saying "72 degrees" and it turns. There's probably 20-30 commands I would say in total.

If im correct 01-03 model you cant command temps and alot of other things 04-06 models can. Saying that can i convert mines to do the same by changing only the dvd box in the trunk. If not is it possible.

Hell, even if I could theoretically change temp on my '03 by voice it wouldnt really work in practice. I would say "74 degress" She would say "Zooming In" or something else thats totally unrelated lol.

For me, the only command, and it really sucks, that doesn't work all the time with me is "go home." Which is probably most used I would think. It always goes "setting mall as icon".. it thinks I live in a mall.
