You know I haven't purchased the part yet so Im not sure. I used Iron toad for the part quote, they seem to have the best prices..
The hardware is held onto the part by three screws looks very easy to seperate.

Did you pull this from the service manual or a CD of the service manual. I've been considering buying the service manual, but I see that they have a CD as well for about 1/10th the price. I'm a little nervous about buying the CD cause as we all know you get what you pay for.... I want to be able to do some of the small work myself and have access to part numbers so I don't waste money buying the wrong parts.

I had a Headlight leveling warning light.
I pulled fuse #25 on passenger side and warning light went off.
Then I aimed my headlights using a flat screwdriver on the star wheel.
This is the cheap fix.

It's not a fix it's a band-aid.. A little irritating too. When I bought my LS my headlights were not leveling and I checked the fuse and it was missing. I had gotten that malfunction message once in awhile after I put the fuse in.

This thread is about a car with standard, not air, suspension.
Aleluxanja said there's a single sensor for headlight level at the right rear; maybe he's correct.
But for sure: all the pix and drawings that followed are showing the 4 level sensors that are exclusive to air suspension cars.

Usually on the drivers side front and rear. Sometimes all they need is some adjustment, other times they need to be replaced, or the motors in the headlights are the culprit.
OK, when all else fails, we read the directions!
CDW91 is on to something: according to the factory electrical diagrams, non air suspension cars have front and rear height sensors, both on the driver's side! The front is same as for air suspension cars, but the rear is a different part! And no sensors on the passenger side.

Fixed It
Got the replacement part for the drivers side rear sensor from Parts.com and swapped it out this weekend. Best bet is to remove the rear wheel. There is a lever button on the wiring harness that allows you to disconnect the sensor. Supper easy to replace. Dang blinking light on dash went away and head lights now aim properly instead of at the ground. Interesting that two dealerships said they needed to replace both front AND rear sensors to fix the problem. Gotta watch those guy's closely.

Cost $313.19 (shipping alone was $40 which is insane plus a $2 handling fee)
This is for a 2006 LS430 without air suspension. I believe this is the same part for all non air suspension models of the LS430.
Make sure you put some electrical grease on the pin connector when you assemble.
