Default Big Wheels

What effect do large rims have on the stock suspension of an 2004 LS430. The car we are looking at buying has 22" rims on it with super low profile tires. Other than rubbing on the wheel wells do these rims overstress the suspension? Any suggestions on what to look for or what I might have to replace. I have no intention of keeping these rims on the car, and will switch back to stock.

Bigger wheels, depending on brand, and especially in 20+ range are much much heavier than the stock wheels, and thus put added stress to key suspension components. Lower/upper control arms, calipers, and entire suspension system will take an accelerated beating to keep up with the new diameter. Also, shocks will not last as long due to the added weight of the wheel as it pushes back making it harder for the shock do its job.

Way more stress on brakes also. Larger heavier wheels have substantial difference in rotational mass - requires a lot more force to stop.
