I have a 2001 and have just started having trouble entering the destination address in my NAV.

It usually "freezes up" after I enter the street number.

Has this been discussed before?

 

You are entering in the address while in park, correct?

 

Try taking out the DVD and cleaning it with something. Last winter i had a similar problem but after i cleaned it it started working properly.

 

I noticed a lot of issues concerning the navi and sound amplifier from the 2001 models.

I would try cleaning out the CD as other suggested first. If that does not fix the issue, read up on some of the problems some members were having with their 2001's navi graying out buttons rendering them useless.
