So my eventual goal with my LS is to make it both nicer and faster the the stock one but besides some overly priced intake and exhaust kits and then the ludicrously priced Tom's Racing supercharger I haven't found much in the way of additional power. If anyone had either heard of or installed some sort of power add-on I'd love to know about it. Thanks.
You can also twin turbo it, but that is pretty much it. Also, intake and exhaust will add more loudness but much less performance than you expect. IMHO LS are meant to be quiet, not roaring like a muscle car.
You can consider a throttle controler that makes gas pedal much more sensitive.
Yea the loudness is one concern although ill probably put an exhaust on it at some point but keep it quite enough to hear some of the engine, mainly at higher revs.
Greddy supercharger kit is only $5790 complete with emanage pretuned for LS
Only $5790. Well I would give you Kudos for the install, but I would find it foolish to spend $6,000 installed on a vehicle worth only $15,000. Although value is in the eye of the beholder, so if it's worth $6,000 to have a truley unique LS430, then go for it. A set of GS430 rims, Muffler delete and Intake did it all for me though.
What will you be using the LS430 for? Just driving?
Muffler delete? Does that even sound good? I would think that would sound terrible.
Actually, you would think it wouldn't but it sound's nice. I ran mandrel bent pipes out the rear into Magnaflow Tips. Basically the exhaust system under the LS has 5 mufflers (3 resonators, 2 mufflers). I had some free time one Saturday and unbolted the rear mufflers off the back of the car. I started it and ran it down the road, and it's noticeable, but not loud or raspy, just low and tone. On the highway there is no resonance with the pipes out the rear.
