Someone who knows please correct me if I'm wrong with the following:
S) I assume the disk in the navigation unit spins and is being "read" whenever the vehicle is in motion, if the operator clicked past the I AGREE button.
Q) Does the disk stop spinning if/when the car comes to a complete stop?
Also, assuming statement (S) is true, does the disk NOT spin at all, if the driver never clicks or goes past the I AGREE screen?
Basically, I'm just curious if the disk is always spinning whenever the car is in motion, or only during actual navigation guidance or searching for POI's, etc?
I've got nothing better to think about as I watch the Phillies beat up on the Dodgers.
The disc is always spinning and the car will connect to the navi satellites whether or not you agree. To test this, dont press the i agree button and drive off a few miles from the house. As soon as you agree, you will find yourself right there where you are without delay.
Remember, the i agree screen is not a ON/OFF for the navi, but a mere acknowledgment on your part to a system thats already booted up.
