Default replaced lower ball joints and still making noise!!!!!!

I've been getting a clicky, snappy noise during braking....it mostly happens when I hit the brake pedal and sometimes happens right after I release the pedal.

I was hoping relacment of the lower ball joint would fix this problem but it didn't, I feel like I completely wasted 90 bucks on the lower ball joint for nothing. fortunately I only replaced one side (front driver side) and not both sides.

I also replaced the caliper bolts back when I new pads and rotors.

so now what ? any other suggestions ? can change out all the bushings without having to replace every single arm ? It seems to be isolated to the brakes but I don't know what to check next

it was a common thing for the GS, since they used a "free floating" design.

not sure if it's the same problem, but the GS makes a loud 1 click sound due to the brake pads moving, most notable when reverse, brake (makes noise), shift to drive...

I believe the fix/band aid was to grease the back of the brake pads or they had a shim kit to make it sit tighter so it won't move as much.

On the LS, I can hear it sometimes too. Again, if it's the same problem, then it's just the brake pad related, nothing that is life threatening

Oh, for the GS, replacing new brake pads (probably a newer design also) the noise went away and never came back.

I have a feeling it's the shims, does lexus sell just the shims seperate ?

and what about the caliper clips ? can those be adjusted to make tighter?
