I have a 2002 with the original nav - soon to be upgraded hopefully. Right now I'm not able to get my nav to flip over into night mode.

It keesp the white background regardless of the time of day. In the settings, I've made sure to have everything set to default.

When I've experimented with different colors for the night mode, I just get the same default white background.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

 

You have to turn your dimmer dial just after the click for it to go into night mode.

Im not sure about the gen3navi LS, but there should be a setting for DAYTIME button under the display settings of the navi.

Edit:

Just to make sure, i meant the ENTIRE car's dimmer, and not the navigation screen dimmer (the one behind the headlight stalk.)

 

Iagree....make sure the dimmer dial is not "Clicked". If it is, NAV will stay in daytime mode...

I have a 2005 LS 430.

 

I've made sure the dimmer isn't clicked, but I still have not found any success. It's very weird.
