Default Winter/Summer Wiper Setting/Parking

I tried the search function without success.

On my 2000 ES300, I could move the hidden wipers to a higher position
for "parking" the arms in the winter time. In summer, I could push them back down into the hidden position.

I don't see this feature on my 2004 LS430.

Can you move the wiper arms higher or lower?

No. This function does not exist on the LS430. I'm guessing it's because the bottom portion of the windshield is heated when the rear defrost is put on - and therefore you don't need the higher wiper setting for winter.

Too bad.

It was nice to be able to lift the wipers when washing the windshield, or leave them lifted off the windshield when parked outside in freezing rain.

In the second case, you can turn your car off while the wipers are half-fully extended, and bend the arm to achieve the same purpose.

it took me about 5 mins, 4 mins to long to figure this out when i changed my wipers out last month... i sure felt a little umm mentally/physically retarted for about 3 of these 5 mins... kinda like a monkey staring at a stick and a rock.

I preferred the lower setting on my LS400. It made it look very clean.
