Default 2003 Ultra

First off, I want to thank those that have provided comments and opinions to other threads about searching, locating, and trying to decide type decisions. The input is much appreciated. I'm learning to enjoy the thrill of the hunt for an Ultra.

My search has been for a 2005, I like the 2004-2006 years and thought might as well get the most bang for my buck, or what I want to pay really.

So my brother knows I'm looking too, sees a local ad, and because it is a nice sunny Saturday drives over yesterday cause he wants to check it out for the fun of it. Pulls up into the owner's driveway and there is Honda Accord parked.
Guy comes out and has a garage out back. They go out back and it's of course, duh...in the garage. Mystic Sea Opalescent, ecru interior, 40k on the clock, new Yokohamas, and pretty much spotless according to my bro. When they opened the trunk, my bro noticed he had bought a new Yoha for the spare as well.

Turns out he is a retired engineer, original owner, all the service records, keys, manuals, etc. He has been pretty firm at $24. I was thinking more like $22. KBB = $23.6 to $24.7.

They went for a ride, with my bro's girlfriend in the rear, and she said everything was very clean, worked, and the ride was excellent. They were both impressed. Later after previously speaking earlier in the day, he calls me back up and says, that was the best used car I have ever been in. He has an SC and RX.

So any thoughts about the price?? Thanks!

Oh yeah, he is selling because he is moving out of the country and cannot take it with him. Don't know when he is leaving, I'm sure the sale of the car is not holding him up any.

Thats very high for an '03. The same price can get you an 04-05 in similar condition.

Agree with Grand LS. Right now, the 2005 off-lease are at their prime and 2006 are flooding the market too. I would say shop around, you'll find plenty newer for the same price. Also, I prefer the '04-'06 years too.

Exactly.
I'm sure you would prefer to acquire a 04-06 instead.
