Default Gaskets, Oil drain plug and Differential

My first thread. Question: 2004 LS430

Would someone discribe the two gaskets... Are they plastic, aluminum or other. Are they the crush type? Are they replaced during each change?

Picked up and ivory colored plastic gasket from NAPA, I was told if was OE.

Next stop Toyota Dealer...

Don't know about diff as I have not changed it yet. But the oil pan is solid, round type (not sure if you call these crush or not) but cheap enough ($.95 in bulk) to change every change.

Where do you get your washers and how many do you get for $.95? Thanks.

I have my current batch from the local Lexus dealer and I bought in "bulk" of 30 pieces. I just did a quick check on Irontoad.com and they have for ONLY $.80 EACH... so no need to even buy in large quantity.

Hey... always good to shop.

I'll pick them both up at the dealership... I'm just about all set for my first oil change. Thanks.
