Hi friends, I posted this question on a thread that seems to have grown cold. My 06 Ultra has the adapative headlamps. When I start the car they balance with the up and down motion. My parent's have an 07 RX350 with the adapative headlamps. When starting the RX the headlamps adjust up and down then side to side. Are the headlamps on my 06 Ultra suppose to adjust side to side when starting too seeing as they have the same kind of system?

No, the LS's system only adjusts up and down on start up. I did not know the RX adjusted side-to-side, good to know.

Hey, doesn't check side-to-side, but it atleast does go side-to-side...

 

Yeah the RX AH's are faster too, when you are making turns they are very responsive. We have an 08 notice that they have improved the system since the LS version, I need to figure out how to aim them higher b/c they too low.

 

Do a search on the LS430 forum and there is a very good writeup with pictures of how to aim the headlights. It goes BEYOND just using a phillips and aiming through the adjustment holes. It goes into removal of the rods and more. I did not do it since I'm happy with the aim of my headlights. The previous owner might have done a re-aim already.

 

I have already know how to aim the LS430's headlights, (did a few weeks ago) i was refering to the RX350's headlights. I'm going to pay the RX forums a visit and see what i can find, good lookin out tho.
