Will an extended warranty cover this problem? Any problems with aftermarket warranties?

I was just told by Bell Lexus that my 2001 LS430 with 129K mi needs new upper control arms, air struts, and ball joints all for the front suspension. installed about $5000. Had the lower control arms replaced at 117K mi. Felt great till a few thousand miles ago everything started feeling sloppy again, now its noisy too. Called www.lexuspartsworld.com and they quoted me about 35% less for the parts. $836.55 for one of the air struts (still better than the $1194 ea quote I got from Bell). The $400 rebuilt air struts won't be available for about another 2 months from www.arnottindustries.com. DAMN!

Oh, and my nav ECU is going out too. yeah!

Did they tell you that?

They couldn't even give me a date, all they always say is "they are working on it", for the last year or so.

Yeah they told me that when I called and asked if the struts were available yet. Said about two months, no specific date though.

Hopefully that means they are getting closer on it.

Looks like they just released it for the W220 S-class, I would imagine the failure rate on that is a lot higher then the LS, so they put the priority on that.
