Wow, what was suppose to be a free mod turns into a $550 bill

At least now, you won't see another LS like yours, truly debadged.

how come on the 2gs the emblems just come right off with no body work to be done at all, and on the ls there are holes that have to be filled in...?? it seems really strange to me that they would have a similar car with this big difference.

i hate to ask so feel free to be a **** back to me but did you actually see these holes for your self or is this just what some shop said so they could charge you $550??? damn, now i don't know how soon i will get this done cuz now that it is like $500 ++ it will have to move a little further down the list,,, oh yeah so i still actually need the car.

i'm selling my gs400 on sunday and hopefully picking up that 05 ul ls430 on monday.

I thought the same way you did until i pulled the word lexus off and saw the holes. i got lucky because my friend works @ a body shop and got me the super discount.

P.S. if you don't beleive then by all means take the emblems off yourself

so one more silly question, is it all 3 of the emblems that have the holes or just the center 'L'.?

can you at least take off the 'ls430' emblem or the 'lexus' emblem without encountering the holes??

so i'm lazy lately like many others who are probably getting older and have less time and more money.

what will this debadge-ification cost for a shop to do?? i was thinking about leaving the 'L' in the back but now if i pay a shop to do it i might just have them take them all off at once, we'll see i guess.
