Looks really nice... Can't wait until I get mine done as well. I ordered my reverse LED bulbs too!

I can't stand the halogen DRLs.

but you can mod zenki stuff on a kouki model and vice-versa... in this case i guess a body kit front bumper piece would determine which fog lights you should install. is it true that the zenki lights were much more suited for hid conversion than the kouki ones...?

the first pic was a model 30 i belive, but i forget what model number they assigned to the 04-06 year range?? which was it again??

wait a sec... what does the kouki conversion of fog lights have anything to do with drl's and the fact that your high beams will lack from this type of setup.

unless i just missed something in this forum how did we go from talking about these drl's to converting an older models fog light housings to the newer models fog light housings???

hahah junjdm you are more correct than i suspect others might lead on about their own j stuff knowledge...

the zenki kouki stuff just refers to having a particular car model with either late model or early model parts on it.. in this case fog light housings... wakata??

or in your case the late model (kouki) front end. i always prefered to have a new say s15 with an s13 rear end or like yours... my best friend in japan had a really nice sil-80 conversion. an insane 180 with a silvia front end for the non car peoples on here

Ok, this thread is about high beam LED bulb conversion.

The Zenki LS430 uses the high beam bulb as the DRL, but only powers it 50%. So in doing this mod, he loses his high beams, as now they are just DRL's.

The Kouki LS430 uses a dedicated DRL bulb, which is why you would still have a dedicated high beam bulb, and retain the highs.

Knowing this about the Kouki LS430, is what I reference my original comment on, as it is another reason to do this '04 front end conversion, as it will retain the highs, and add a dedicated DRL bulb.

oh i thought from the pic that the fog lights is what you were refering to. now i'm up to speed. so apparently there are diferences in the main lights that is what you are talking about. thanks for schooling me on this topic.

so now my only other question is why wouldn't lex use a dedicated drl bulb in the ucf 30 model...? i currently own a 2gs (though i have been trying to sell it for like 5 months now) and am trying to upgrade to a ul ls430 and since mines has the dedicated drl i just assumed that all lexi (in the modern era) came with the dedicated drl.

hey junjdm, thats a very nice 240 you gots there (or had). i used to have a set of those rims for my nissan gloria. you don't see cars like that everyday in the us, outside of car shows at least. did you have that thing tuned properly??

this doesn't make sense...unless you meant the KOUKI LS430 uses a dedicated DRL bulb, which is why you would still have a dedicated high beam bulb, and retain the highs.

'04 conversion would be dope. however not worth the $$ unless u can easily source used. i think i might do this mod. my headlights and hid fogs do a good job lighting up what's in front of me anyways.
