Default should i get it? how does it sound

ok so here is the deal i currently drive a lexus ls400 1995 with 247,xxx.
it has a few problems like for example my gas milage 7.8 mpg lol....i no it crazy
but also it the traction light blinks on and off...i cant stop it and when it blinking i can peel out non stop there is no traction...

im currently looking into 2 other ls's a 400 and a 430

the 400 is a 1998 with 140,xxx but the check engine light is on that kinda worries me and he told me its a sensor in the transmission...serious???
-i test drove the car and tryed flooring it a few times but no matter how many times i floor it it switches at 4rpm... is there a block or it might be that sensor?

the ls430 is a 2001 with 205,xxx it was used in a limo company so i no it was not abused....

what should i do???

140K is still okay... but 205K... that's some miles on there. Both are risky, even with the LS's "bulletproof" reputation. Just look at your own LS, 200K+ and giving only 7 mpg.

Look dude in your situation it looks like you need to ride your LS till the wheels fall off completely. Save your money and buy a new LS!!!

Looks like your 95 LS will need the tune up....even if you buy another car with around 150k miles i am sure that will need full tune up at some point of time

dont forget, around 160k you need a timing belt/tuneup anyways. So you have to factor in that big job to the price of the car.

my personal opinion, even though the car will probably last a good bit after that 160k, look for another with less mileage. I know personally around me, there are a bunch of ls400's with 100k and below going for less than 5000.

also, dont believe that bull **** about a car in a limo service not being abused. Rental cars and former livery vehicles are ALWAYS abused. Simple reason? Whoever is driving it is not the owner, so theres no incentive to take care of it.

Exactly! My best friend's father-in-law was limo driver (town car) and changed the oil when he felt like it. Did timing and maintenance when something was going bad. Limos are constantly left idling waiting for customers and then they're raced to pick up customers or go home. Honestly, because it's a limo I probably would bag it out and get something newer.
