I was wondering about that too. Have you tried to contact them and ask them?

I thought the video portion was only for people with 5th generation NAV? I.E. Not the LS430, any year...

thats what i thought too but they told me that it will work for my car and thats why i purchased it. I contacted them and they decided to give me a updated version. I also told them about the lagging in the song changing and they said that this new version will take care of the lagging.

Any update on this? Is it supposed to activate the video through a toggle switch or a button on the nav screen. I have a ipod video sitting around and want video on my nav but dont want to use a toggle switch.

It is supposed to activate through the button on the nav screen but I am still waiting for the updated version to come in. As soon as i get it I will update you on this.

Appreciate your reply. I like it integrated into touch screen as opposed to toggle switch so I am waiting for a reply from the vendor. Appreciate your reply also.

Got this from the group buy thread:

I am definitely interested in this route so I don't have to use any toggle switches.

Finally got my New version of the Vais Tech ipod video and installed it today. I would now like to confirm that the video does work on the 2001-2003 LS430. It actually works pretty good compared to the older version. The older version has a about a second lag when changing songs on the play list. The video activates through the button on the nav screen instead of having to use a toggle switch. Other than that you can only watch the video with the emergency brake down. Has anyone found a way to bypass this so that you can just play the video anytime?
