Sh___t!

I pulled out my seat belt today and hit the wood no the steering wheel. Left a little circular indent and a slight "crack" in the varnish. I can feel the edge of the nick so I guess I could wetsand it down to make it smooth...

Grrrrr.....

 

Tell me how it goes, I have a similar issue.

 

it's super annoying. I bought the car two weeks ago.

The sun hits it every morning and it glares off the crack and right at my eye! It's the crack in the varnish that bugs me most. I might just buy a new steering wheel. I saw one on ebay for a $100..

I figure I'll talk to a wood working shop and see what they suggest. Steel wool is what we used back in high school to smooth down varnish.
