I am curious if there is a aftermarket item to allow the phone calls to go thru the Mark Levinson speaker system? i hate that on the highway i cant hear very well with the on screen volume turned all the way up. there has to be a way to get the call thru the speakers, the music automatically mutes itself??

I've always wondered the same thing. Even with the volume maxed out, I end up getting sound from one speaker only. Very annoying.

My best guess is that if they used stereo sound, it would cause serious feedback, thus they only went mono through one speaker. I do think it's by design.

 

I agree it is Very annoying! I ask people to speak up and it tends to work pretty well for me at times. Although i must disagree using stereo (or all speakers) I have a friend with an Audi A4 S-Line that comes thru all of his speakers and has no issues and it is "CLEAR" unlike ours.

 

my last S500 had super sound when either on the phone or just the radio,, was by Bose,,

can't say I'm that impressed with this Mark Levinson system in the Lexus either on the phone or playing music,, would give it a 6 or 7 out of a 10 and the old Benze would have receiverd a 9.5,,

of course I am camparing them to my $75 grand, home theater but the Bose still wins in the cars,,
