People can be strange sometimes. He's probably got a bunch of enquiries on the car now and reality has set in that the price is probably too low. I sometimes see dealers do this too once they work out what they really have, probably driven by large numbers of inquiries. I picked up my CustomLux when the dealer thought it was just a normal LS430 with nav.

Move on. You'll find another good car eventually for sure.

 

Yea, he seemed mad. I am just as mad! and very sad! I LOVED the car, not the seller. I feel bad for the car. At least I got to see his true colors BEFORE I handed him any money. Just imagine if he pulled this on me after I already paid him? I can see him holding the car hostage because he wants to demand more money.

He is now emailing me and trashing me!

Well it looks like I'm still in the market for an 04 OR 05 ultra lux!

Anyone know of any good low mileage examples in the Northeast with sellers who aren't pushy temper tantrum throwing idiots?

 

A friend of mine is a car dealer in NY. he has an '05 Ultra white on black with some 60K miles. I think he wants 30-31K. pm me for his info if interested.

 

A little update. My search is done. Wife got a steal on an 08 ES350 Ultra lux with all options except sat radio (last day of month and dealer was VERY eager to make a sale). Maybe we can go for the LS460 in a couple of years. Then it will be used and in my price range! Oh well, I really wanted the LS but the a new ES is just fine!
