the ride comfort and strength of the tanabe's is very good. Feels strong and not bouncy at all.

the 20" did roughen the ride but that's just the price u pay to look good. The 19" with 40 series was the best in terms of comfort, smoothness and looks.

at my current height, I have no scraping at all. I don't have to angle any driveways, I just go straight in and straight out just like a normal car. Speed bumps are also a non issue, just drive over it just as u would a normal car.

I love these tanabe's for ls430, we are very fortunate to have these available for us here in the states. Just remember to change the spring rate to 8000K for the rear.

Thanks for the great info. When you say "Change the spring rate in the rears to 8000k". Is this an adjustment on the coilovers itself or do I have to replace the original rear springs that comes with it.

u have to physically changed the rear springs from 10K to 8K.

the best thing to do is to call tanabe and have them change it from the warehouse. Communicate with your dealer-retailer and tanabe.

I re-did the gunmetal ones to brushed aluminum. I did not buy another two wheels.

Did you leave the original 12k springs in the front or did you swap them out as well to a different spring at lower spring rate as well? Where did you purchase yours from and price paid?

I second that question. 12k in front and 8k in rear?

I have the original 12K at front and swapped out the rear to 8K (from the original 10K) .

actually I'd go all the way down to 6k for the rear because the rear is still noticeably stiffer than the front at "medium" damper setting.front also on medium damper setting.

one of my coworkers had a chance to sit at the rear and he said it was noticeably stiffer at the rear.

most of the higher end full tap coilover companies use 14K at the front and 6K at the rear.
