Probably, but I'm sure it would cost a ton. The 01 didn't come with a backup camera.

Yes, it would be a custom install but you can put a rear camera in there. The original lexus camera is made by Pioneer and you can get the same specifiction camera to be used for after market systems... I say that because adding an after market video/navigation is the easiest way to add navigation and backup camera. Doing a OEM Lexus nav/screen/camera install would cost in several thousand dollars in used parts (or more like $12,000 if you buy all new parts from Lexus. Yes twelve-thousand-dollars not 1200.) as you will need an entirely new section of electrical harness installed, a tuner box, head unit display with ac controller, body ECU2, navigation computer, interface, and other items such as bluetooth interface, and camera and all mounts to go with it.

I have a 04 non-navigation LS430 and here's what I did... Total cost in parts were about $3000, much more reasonable than going OEM.
My LS430 install
With this Pioneer AVIC Navigation Audio Video, I have DVD, Backup camera, HDD navigation, 20GB internal HDD mp3 player, and even touch panel operated iPOD control too! And the easy-to-use LS430 AC controls can stay where it is.

anther choice will be to just sell the car, and buy a similar car With Navigation, which is probably a great alternative since 2001 LS has come down in prices a lot recently.
