If people want to keep their offsets to themselves, then let them do so.
It's just like playing poker. If you won or lost a hand, you don't have to show your cards at all.

On this whole keeping the offset a secret thing, here is my opinion.

I understand his reason for keeping it a secret, so no one copy his looks, which is understandable.

But on the other hand, I don't think anyone else is going to spend all that money on body work to copy his looks, so it is probably not a concern.

It is not that hard to find out his exact offset anyway if someone REALLY want to know, I saw the wheel ad of his Wed's wheels in a Celsior magazine, the fenders and wheels offset of the car in the ad looks almost the same as his car. I am sure Weds can tell you his exact offset. It is not rocket science, just + and - a few mm.

The car looks good though, I have respect for his work.

Look, I’ve gotten some help thru clublexus and I’ve also helped a lot of people on here too. There are other members of this online community that do have the funds and means to copy my car if they wanted to, and I just don’t want that happening. If you need help choosing offsets for your LS that will fit with no fender work or with a little work I can defiantly help you out. I get tons of PMs daily from members asking me to help them source parts and help with offsets for their Lexus. Do I help them? Of course, I’m always there to lend a helping hand. Me giving out my offsets of my car will not help anyone, and I don’t feel that yall need to know what they are. There are a lot of others on this board that I have helped so you cant say I haven’t given a helping hand back to the community.

racinstyle is a cool person. he has been with CL for sometime now. i have spoke with him before and i can tell everyone that he is very helpful for everyone here on CL.

for those planning on doing mild fender work to fit lower offsets, dont bother asking for his numbers. his car is a complete radius reworked and custom.

if anyone does plan on going the "hardcore" route, here's a bit of an advice:

buy your wheels first to the width, offset, and lip-size you want. buy the correct size tires and throw them on the car. then take it to body shop and tell them to "make-it-work."

that is how they do it in Japan.

Members, I've removed a couple of rude posts. If racinstyle doesn't want to post the offsets, then he's not going to and there is no need to insult or pressure him because of it. His decision... congratulate him on his beautiful car , ask questions and he can answer them or not.

exactly what other people said. there is no need to find out the exact offsets. Buy the wheels you like, with the specs and lip size you want then take it to your body man and tell them to make it fit.

Props to you bro for raising up the VIP bar.

that is the best bit of advice given on this forum for a car built in this style.

A question to racinstyle.......

Let me start by saying I am not bashing your car, I think it looks great, just curious of why you did something the way you did.

Since you flared out the fenders a lot and running super low offset, meaning the wheel have been pushed out a lot, why didn't you run a super wide wheel like a 11~13" wheels? Wouldn't that be A LOT cooler? I mean it is purely a show car, so everyday practicality is not a concern.

If I remember right (didn't want to go back to find it), the wheel you are running are something like 10~10.5" wide.
