that is the dumbest ****** ever....why would you want to down grade what people think about your car? That is a mistake that you will make and think back on later wondering why you did it.

I'm aware of how the car is badged over seas. Or I should say WAS badged overseas now that the "Lexus" brand has made its way there.
He didn't buy a Celsior though, he bought an LS430. No the car has not been downgraded, but in the mind of others it will be. That is exactly the reason why Toyota badges their luxary line with "Lexus".
Changing the badge would be like buying a pair of Tommy Hillfigure jeans and taking the label off. Part of what you are paying for is the "name" and branding that the company has done. It just doesn't make sense, no matter how "VIP" it is.
