So can anyone provide an update on reliability of the clear LED tails, which vendor sells the best ones (chinese vs. taiwan-made), etc...????? Confused about which vendor has which ones, and I need to buy ASAP.
I currently have the old style red/clear incandescent tails on my '01 that I got from Option Racing on Ebay a while back, and some biznitch backed into my car and broke one. So now looking to upgrade to the LEDs.

I purchased mine from Option Racing. No problems at all (knock on wood). Great product and I absolutely love them.
I'm interested as well. i have seen the smoked lenses with the LED taillights. I would like those better. Once the price is listed.... if someone could be so kind as to let me know I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!!! Sam

Hi Guys, how tough is the install? I am not very technical at all. Any sepcial tools needed? Are the instructions easy to follow? If I have issues, can I easily swap back for the stock tail lights?

The install is pretty straight forward and does not require any special tools. The trickiest part is securing the ballast inside the trunk lid. I used a couple of cable ties to fasten them inside so they wouldn't roll around or get loose when closing the trunk lid. The other thing is taking the trunk lid liner off to gain access. The plastic clips can be difficult to line up at times.
You can always go back to the original lamps but why would you when the look is soooo much cleaner looking.
Good luck and let us know how you did.
The price of these have sure gone UP. I purchased my non-LED rears taillights from Option Racing and they cost me around $100. Now the prices are around $300
Yah they went up i cracked one of mine so im hopin I could come across the left side non led taillight ?
Resurrecting this thread.
mdawg630, my passenger side non-LED tail light is cracked, if you're willing to sell your passenger assembly, send me an IM.
Incidentally, I found this website that appears to have the non-LED tails in stock, however there are no prices and it looks shady. I "requested a quote" and instead of quoting me a price for the tails, they charged my credit card $12.01. WTF!
