Automatic Starter
I have the top of the line CompuStar alarm system in a S2000. Its special as some of the newer cars requires the chip embedded in the key in order to start the car so no more of that screwdriver in the ignition trick. The CompuStar has a black key holder box, you have to get a spare embedded chip key from the dealer (an uncut one, just in case someone does break into your car and finds the key holder box, they can then use the cut key to drive off). Now the car is able to do remote start. Works pretty good, up to 1 mile range, auto shut off in 15minute, or auto start every 3 hours if you live somewhere very cold and don't want the car to freeze over. It has the paging feature letting you confirm that the car has started, warning if someone bumps it or door/hood/truck has been open, etc. Not cheap though, something like $800 installed. But the remote is sort of large, my wife has the next version down on her car with basically the same features (shorter distance) and the remote is smaller and nicer.

Thanks people for your help. It sounds as if it is doable. I had heard from my dealership that because of the complex electical system in a Lexus that it could not be done. Let me know if you can Kings the name of yours. BTW have you put it in your car?
Air thanks, your product looks pretty hi fi. I will try to call them later today.
Thanks to everyone for their help!
