If I buy a used 04 from a private party or non-Lexus dealer, can I still purchase the Platinum extended warranty from Lexus?

Does the car have to be currently covered under the factory warranty (i.e. less than 4yr/50k miles) at the time the extended warranty is purchased?

 

If I am correct the platinum extended warranty can only be purchased 36mo or 36000 miles from veh del date

 

as long as you are still under the 4 year / 50k bumper to bumper you can buy the new car platinum coverage

 

Who is it purchased from and at what cost?

 

it can be purchased from lexus dealers. the retail on the lexus website is $2900 but if you search a few threads here and there you can find some who discount it from there.

 

Is anyone out offering a platinum warranty at a discounted price?
