I'll be in the market for an 01, perferably an UL model. My question is for ALL 01 owners regardless of trim level. What type of first model year problems are there in the 01 that was fixed in later models? Any electronic/mechanical issues? Please help!

I had the following replaced under warranty:

trunk shocks
malfunctioning power mirror
steering wheel replaced (wood cracking)
motor and tranny mounts (at 90K miles)

can't really remember anything else going wrong with car...........??????

be sure to use the power outlet in the armrest console to charge your cell phone, not the cigarette lighter, it will eventually blow the fuse to the lighter.

the trunk shocks go out


the bull**** mark levension sub blows very easily and probably needs to be replaced

my right side mirror makes noises sometimes or the motor will keep running even if the mirror is in place already.

ML sub repair on mine..

No other issues, but then again, I've only put 1000 miles on mine since I bought it.

Needed a wheel bearing @58k, not common problem. All three local dealers had to order the part b/c never happens.

ML Sub needed to be reconditioned or replaced. I had reconditioned for $175 vs $500 lexus replacement

I just had to replace my lower control arm bushings
