Or you can go to Ebay. I paid $50 for a 2003 DVD. Just be sure to get the right DVD for the 2001 model year. You have a Generation 3 DVD system - which require the more expensive DVDs. You'll be able to tell it's the right DVD by the Toyota part number, which will be 86271-3303X, with X ranging from 0-5, 0 being the 2001 update, 5 being the 2006 update. You can't buy one that ends in 4X - these are for Generation 4 DVD systems.

They're easy to install - here are the instructions:

Good luck!

I did the same thing, I have an 01 LS430, and it was with the original DVD in it. I went on ebay, got the 2004 version for $52 shipped. Didn't even look at a book or anything to install.

1. remove the 2 screws on the top of the DVD player (passenger side of the trunk).
2. Pull up the front of the player (only comes up about 2" in the front of the player).
3. Slide door open, press eject. remove old disc, replace with new disc, close door.
4. push player back down, replace the 2 screws you removed.
5. Watch the nav screen update, that's it.

Still a few roads in my area that are not on the 2004 maps but, $50 vs. $300 shipped, I'll use it for a year or so, then update it again.
